There's always something taking root in the greenhouse.

When friends and families stroll past the Legacy Garden enroute to visit a loved one they can't help but notice the colourful flowers that welcome them. Many of these plants and flowers began as tiny seeds that were carefully coaxed into sturdy, thriving plants by resident green thumbs.

And some time around the middle of September the fruits of another labour of love - specifically tomatoes - grace the plates and palates of Colonel Belcher diners.

Anyone who has enjoyed the invigorating smell of rich dark earth can attest to the incomparable sense of satisfaction that comes with gardening. This sometimes old, sometimes recently discovered passion for plants is rapidly growing at the centre and plans are in the works to expand the very popular activity.
